Lisa Bonnice Bio (long)

Lisa Bonnice is a popular program host with The Shift Network, hosting their Ancestral Healing Summit and Beyond the Veil Summit. She is consistently ranked as one of the “Top 5” guest speakers in Shift Network summits (see “Videos“). A former associate producer for MSNBC.com, Lisa has been with The Shift Network for many years.

Lisa has authored numerous books including Castle Gate, the true and tragic saga of a Scottish family whose dreams of finding their fortunes in the bountiful coal mines of Castle Gate, Utah, during the Prohibition era explode in one of the most devastating mine disasters in American history. On March 8, 1924, over 170 men were killed in Castle Gate, Utah in one of the most devastating coalmine disasters in American history. Three of those men were Lisa’s ancestors.

Based on years of exhaustive genealogical research, Castle Gate tells the story of a coal mining town shattered on that fateful day, and the Littlejohn and Garroch families who ran the mine and worked underground. Lisa is a descendant of both families. Castle Gate is filled with stories of those who lived and died that day, some of whom stayed home due to premonitions, and many more who ignored those warnings. It explores life in a rugged mining town during Prohibition, which was largely ignored … especially in nearby towns which were filled with saloons and brothels.

Lisa is also co-author of Fear of Our Father, a best-selling true-crime novel which is being made into a television movie. Fear of Our Father has been featured in numerous television and radio programs in the US and the UK, co-authored with Stacey M. Kananen. Stacey is the survivor of years of heinous abuse at the hands of her father. When Stacey’s older brother confessed to murdering both parents, he took her down with him and she was arrested and tried for murder. Fear of Our Father tells the harrowing story of how she survived.

Lisa’s novel A Faery on My Shoulder is a comedic look at what happens when a perfectly ordinary woman wakes up one day with psychic abilities and no instruction manual, and includes an endorsement by Marc Allen, publisher at New World Library. Its sequel, The Faery Falls, continues the story with a a whole new cast of characters including a handsome mystery man and a wise old wizard

Shape Shifting—the Body/Mind/Spirit Weight Solution, Lisa’s first book, is a body/mind/spirit look at weight balancing. Lisa has been involved in body/mind/spirit healing for decades. She lost 50 pounds while writing this book about the metaphysics of weight loss. Shape Shifting caught the attention of Neale Donald Walsch, who wrote the foreword.

Her strange and interesting life includes seven years as a standup comedienne, working with the likes of Tim Allen, Steve Harvey and Jeff Foxworthy. Lisa’s background includes editing Future Medicine Publishers’ Alternative Medicine—The Definitive Guide, along with over five years as an award-winning affiliate writer and associate producer for MSNBC.com. She lives in the Phoenix suburbs with her husband, former standup comedian Jeffrey Alan Rowe, and their two cats, Hazel and Harpo.
